Accessibility statement
Last updated: October 18, 2026
We want every student to be able to use Focusity, including people with disabilities. We have worked on the site's accessibility and keep improving it. This page explains what we did, what is not perfect yet, and how to reach us if something does not work for you.
Accessibility level
The site follows the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA. We also checked the site against the newer WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
What we did on the site
- A clear structure on every page: headings in order, and marked regions (header, main content, footer).
- An accessibility button in the corner of every page: larger text, high contrast, highlighted links, a readable font and stopping animations. Your choice is remembered in the browser.
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
- The whole site works with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline around the focused element.
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Links inside text are underlined, not marked by color alone.
- Images that carry information have a text description. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Every calculator field has a label, and FAQ answers open with a button that also works from the keyboard.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and the layout adapts to phone screens.
- Wide tables scroll sideways with the keyboard too.
- The site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting and turns animations off.
- Every page declares its language and direction: Hebrew right to left, English left to right.
How we checked
All 70 pages of the site were tested with the automated checker axe-core on desktop and phone screen sizes, and we also tested keyboard navigation by hand. The site is built with standard HTML and is meant to work in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, on desktop and on phones.
The app
The app (on the web, iPhone and Android) has also been reviewed screen by screen for accessibility: color contrast, button names that screen readers announce, and large enough tap targets. Some parts may still not be fully accessible. If you run into one, please tell us.
What is not fully accessible yet
- The printable timetable PDF and Word files are blank tables meant to be filled in by hand, and a screen reader may not read them fully. Contact us and we will send the information in an accessible form.
- Third-party content shown or linked from the site, such as the app stores and social networks, is not under our control; its accessibility is up to whoever runs it.
Service outside the internet
Focusity has no office or branch open to the public. The whole service is provided on the website and in the app.
Found an accessibility problem?
We would like to hear about it and fix it. Email us at meir.vaknin02@gmail.com and, if you can, include the page address, what you tried to do, what happened, and which browser or assistive technology (for example a screen reader) you used. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
